During the first half of the 6th century, BCE Babylonian Kin Nebuchadnezzar ruled Harran. The town was home to the Sabian worshippers of the moon god Sin. The mystical Sabian sect was, because of its belief in one God, recognized by İslam as on a par with Christianity and Judaism.
