This tour includes round-trip air travel from Istanbul, ground transportation, two nights in a cave hotel, delicious meals, and one of Turkey’s greatest guides! Cappadocia rests in the heartland of Turkiye and it is definitely one of our favorite locations to visit again and again. This tour can be customized to be a stand alone tour, or an add-on, but it fits very well with an eastern-focused ancient church package that we are happy to create for you. Cappadocia has been part of several empires throughout history, even its own kingdom for a period. Of greatest interest to most of our customers, Cappadocia has a rich Christian history, an area from which considerable Christian philosophy originated. Here you will experience open air museums, underground cities, amazing natural formations, learning how locals live, and if you choose the add-on you can experience a once-in-a-lifetime hot air balloon ride.   1. Transfer from your İstanbul hotel to the airport, flight to Kayseri, and transport to your hotel followed by dinner in Göreme.
  2. After breakfast travel to Nevşehir, visit Uchisar Castle, Fairy Chimneys, and Love Valley. After lunch we will visit the Göreme Open Air Museum and Monasteries, followed  by dinner.
  3. After breakfast travel to one of the underground cities and then drive to Ihlara Valley. After lunch we will hike a couple of miles (flat and easy) while visiting multiple cave churches. Before dinner we will stop for coffee at Pigeon Valley.
  4. After breakfast we will transfer to the airport at Kayseri and return to İstanbul where we will then transfer you to your hotel.
