Ephesus, Smyrna, Pergamum, Thyatira, Sardis, Philadelphia, and Laodicea. These cities were the recipients of the letters discussed in Revelation. İn each of the modern day locations there are remains of varying significance. For example Ephesus is rich with one of the greatest sites in the country while Thyatira and Philadelphia have only a few remains. However your preference we will discuss various options to make the most of your time in beautiful Türkiye. *Your schedule will vary depending on your departure point. This schedule assumes an İstanbul departure via bus.
  1. At approximately 6AM you will meet with your guide and driver at your hotel. Light pastries and sometimes fruits will be served. A few hours into the drive we will take a 30 minute break at rest area where you will find a market, restrooms, and a Starbucks. After a couple of more hours we will arrive at Pergamum. Following Pergamum we will take a short drive for an open-buffet lunch. After lunch we will drive approximately 2 hours to Smyrna, followed by a short drive, 1.5 hours, into Selçuk where we will spend the evening.
  2. After an early breakfast we will take a short drive to Ephesus, arriving early to mitigate heat and crowds. Following Ephesus and lunch we will visit St. John’s Basilica before a 2 hour drive to Hierapolis. After Hierapolis we will stay at a nearby hotel.
  3. After breakfast we will take a short drive, approximately 20 minutes, to Laodicea. Next we will drive an hour or so to Philadelphia, followed by lunch. After lunch we will drive another hour or so to the 2 Sardes locations after which we will spend the night at a nearby thermal hotel.
  4. After breakfast we begin the hour drive to Thyatira before returning to İstanbul. We will stop for lunch as most appropriate and drop you off at your İstanbul hotel.
*Please note that there are several possibilities for add-ons during this tour such as adding a day at the beautiful Aegean coast, adding a night at Assos, sleep in Şirince, etc…
